Privacy Policy
How Chotiwale collects, uses and protects the information you share when you book a service or contact us.
This policy is a working draft prepared for a demonstration build. It has not been reviewed by a legal adviser and must be replaced with a reviewed policy before Chotiwale starts trading.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly when you use this website.
- Contact details — name, mobile number and email address
- Vehicle details — brand, model, year, registration number and odometer reading
- Booking details — service requested, preferred centre, date and time, and any notes you add
- Address, where you request pickup and drop
- Enquiry content — messages you send through our contact, franchise and business forms
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to deliver and improve our services.
- To confirm and manage your service bookings
- To share estimates and service updates with you
- To maintain your bike's service history
- To respond to enquiries, complaints and support requests
- To send maintenance reminders and, where you have opted in, member offers
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations
Communication preferences
Where you consent to WhatsApp or promotional messages, you can withdraw that consent at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Transactional messages relating to an active booking will continue while that booking is open.
Sharing your information
We share your details only where it is necessary to deliver the service you asked for — for example with the service centre carrying out your booking, or with service providers who support our operations under appropriate confidentiality terms. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We retain your booking and service history for as long as you hold an account with us, and for as long afterwards as we are required to for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request:
- Access to the personal information we hold about you
- Correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Deletion of your information, where we are not required to retain it
- Withdrawal of consent for marketing communications
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and analytics
This website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. Details of the specific cookies in use will be published here once the production site is configured.
Demonstration build
This website is currently a demonstration build. Forms on this site do not transmit your details to Chotiwale or to any third party — entries stay within your browser session and are discarded when you leave.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
